In fact if you wait for the expansion to come out, and make a blood elf or drayni (sp?) guilds will be looking for one. You can get a character up to tier2 in a little under 3 months if you are focussed. Titan Quest is pretty decent for some Diablo 2 style fun. If you really liked HL2, you could also get HL2: Episode 1. Civ IV was excellent, as someone else mentioned. On the RTS front, I enjoyed Rome: Total War quite a bit, though it's actually a combination TBS/RTS. Oblivion was definitely a solid choice, I played it on the Xbox 360, but either way, it's an excellent game.

Amazing graphics or not though, the gameplay is excellent, and I also like the company who developed it because they seem very customer friendly (no copy protection on the disc, you can buy it online and get a cd-key right away to download it and then get a copy mailed to you so you have a hard copy too).

Only one of those has a PC version though.Īnyway, Galactic Civilizations II is quite good if a space TBS appeals to you, but don't expect it to give you the level of shiny you're probably expecting with that graphics card. So yeah, your favorite single player or accessible multiplayer (why is one term two words while the other is one?) experience in the past 2-3 years. I'm pumped for the new TFC, although I hope Fortress Forever gets there first as I've been following the project for a while. What else should I tap? I'm looking for good single player it's probably too late to get into WOW and the other multis that have popped up. On the immediate plate are AOEIII (I never played II or I) and Oblivion. I have an E6600/X1800XT on order, and need to catch up. You may guess that I play everything, and guess fairly correctly. I haven't played much since then, and really, the only titles I can remember between C+C Generals and now are HL2 and the Sims 2. I sold my PC after finishing the original singleplayer episode for HL2, immediately following launch. I further harbor a distaste for this kind of thread because any schmo can hit gamespot or any other review site and check the index for interesting titles. I am trying to step around a pool of self loathing for confining myself back to the screen when I am unemployed, but I haven't had enough fun in my life lately. They have lives with more.enriching? stimulating? healthy?.occupations than gaming.
